We are going to have open practice on Sat. Jan. 30 for anyone who would like to try this out. For people that have never done this, and are planning on competing, this would be a very good idea. We will open the gates at noon, and run about 4 hours. On Sun. Jan. 31 We will have process of elimination drag racing. We will be having classes for Up to 400,500,600,700,800,900,1000 and above will be one class. Modified sleds will have separate classes, Modified pertains to the engine, anything performance enhancing will be considered modified. This includes programmers such as boondoggle. Studs are recommended but not required. Depending on the sled, and spectator count, we will have a payout and trophies in all classes. We will be holding this on the front stretch of the big track. It will be a 500 ft run. This will be a snow or no snow event. Please get the word out that if any dealers or performance shops would like to set up a booth, they can feel free to do so at no cost. Any sponsorship dollars that we take in will go into the payout. I would also like some door prizes, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. We would like to make this an annual event, with your help we will make it big. JD Power Sports is our main sponsor for this event, feel free to look them up at WWW.JDPRacing.com. Helmets and WORKING tether cords are mandatory! Bring your buddy and show him who is boss. Tiger

Chip, If you would like to give the Modifieds the night off and pay a purse for $10,000-$30,000 dollar I bet 40-50 Street Stocks would show-up. Just a thought-lol.

The Saturday shows didnt work because Fulton already pays $2,000 every week and Brockville runs. You learned that. The weekend big block shows didnt work because guys had home tracks. DIRT learned that. A Tuesday night Battle at the Border would be cool in May. I would bet you would draw cars from Brockville and MIR probably the Gypsum cars and a couple others from Brewerton. Midweek shows always had a special feel. I understand promoters dont think they work but its been a while since fans had a big show midweek. Well, the WoO show was midweek. People showed for that. The series shows are appreciated. Its just nice to have an open race not conflicting with any track or series points.
